MEETING PRACTICE
How to Get Real-Time Answers During Meetings
A responsible workflow for using live context and AI suggestions without losing the human conversation.
Real-time assistance works when it helps you listen and prepare—not when it tries to speak for you.
Prepare useful context
Before the call, add the meeting goal, attendees, prior decisions, and important terms. Current context produces more useful assistance than a long generic prompt.
Do not include personal, confidential, or unrelated data simply to make the brief longer.
Wait for complete questions
Let a question finish before reviewing a suggestion. If the question is ambiguous, ask for clarification; that is usually faster than correcting a confident but irrelevant draft.
Use AI output as a prompt for your own answer, not a script to read verbatim.
Record open work honestly
When an answer is not available, create a clear follow-up with an owner, information needed, and deadline. A polished draft should not create the illusion that the work is done.
Review commitments after the meeting while participants can still correct them.
